Participation in the ERASMUS programme; past, present and fu

last modification : 2015. június 16.

Our participation in the ERASMUS programme can be dated back to 1995. That year cooperation had been erected with the Department of Social and Economic Geography of the Uppsala University, Sweden on the field of student and teacher mobility. This connection between the two departments lasted for nine years. There have been fourteen students spent a semester at Uppsala University from the Geography Department during that period. While in the frame of Teacher's Mobility Programme two teachers of the Geography Department have been visited the Swedish partner six times for one or one and half weeks.
During the nine years of connection two groups of the teachers of the Uppsala University arrived to Eger to get acquainted with the region and the education system of the Eszterházy Károly College.
Since 2005 the department has a bilateral agreement with the Geological Institute of Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Faculdade de Ciencias e Tecnologia, Departamento de Ciencias da Terra). Ten students of the Geography Department studied there since that time. And a teacher of the department spent a week with teaching and research at Lisbon. During the spring semester of 2015 two students of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa spent five month at our Institute.
Since 2012 further partners enriched our ERASMUS connections. These are the following: University of Dresden, Germany;
Geological Institute of the Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland;
Stakunta University of Applied Sciences, Finland.
