Two young geography teacher students visited our Institute on 20th February from the University of Groeningen. It is a long tradition now for us to provide space for geography students from the Netherlands having their international teaching practice.
Charlotte Puister (22) and Marijn Yedema (25) took two lectures on Tuesday (21st February) for Hungarian BSc and master students.

Their first presentation was about water management challenges of the Netherlands and of Hungary. Our students could participate actively in the class solving a short assignment concerning risk management. Hungarian geography teacher students could get acquainted with advanced teaching methods used by our guests. A website (nearpod.com) useful for pupils' active participation in classes was also introduced.
The second class was examining the question of „liveability of cities" where firstly this complex phenomena was discussed and secondly in an interactive way a mental map of Eger was created through a teamwork.
